9日めの朝を、Humphreys BasinのUpper Golden Trout Lake近くに設けたCamp 8で迎えた。ここは前述したように、Santa Barbaraから来ている夫婦に教えてもらったかなりナイスなキャンプ·ポイントで、今回のトリップ中でも1、2を争う良いロケーションの場所だ。
